Four explosions in the space of 70 minutes last night.
And two within two minutes.
All in connection with private residences.
At 01.03 the police were alerted to the first explosion, which occurred outside an apartment building in Olskroken, Gothenburg.
No one was injured in the incident.
Exactly ten minutes later there were calls about a second explosion, in Kortedala.
– There are explosions at apartment buildings and material damage. As far as we know, there are no injuries, says Patrik Hedlund, alarm and control operator at the rescue service.
Both events are classified as public-danger devastation.
Several explosions
At 02.11 it rained again. This time in Norsborg, south of Stockholm.
– It was huge, says a woman who was sleeping.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a pit in the ground outside an apartment building.
Two minutes later, the police in Nyköping were alerted.
This time there was an explosion at a terraced house. The explosion is described as powerful.
– The National Bomb Squad will investigate the scene, says Oscar Öster, commander at the police’s regional command center.
The entire residential area was cordoned off during the night, according to SN.
– I was awake and live several kilometers away. The bang was heard all the way here, says a witness in Nyköping.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into attempted murder.
According to a person on the scene, the explosion occurred in the same townhouse area as a shooting on Sunday in which a man was shot.
