Four dead in train accident in the Czech Republic

It was late Wednesday evening, local time, that an express train collided with a freight train in the Czech town of Pardubice, about 100 kilometers east of the capital Prague.

– Four people suffered injuries that were not compatible with life, says Alena Kisiala, spokesperson for the local rescue operation, to state Czech television.

According to Kavka, around 300 people were on the train, many of them from other countries. The train was on its way to the Ukrainian town of Chop, which is close to the border with Slovakia.
