Four men were charged after officers seized $25,000 in suspected stolen property from a St. Thomas home following a weeks-long probe, police say.
Officers searching a property near downtown Tuesday seized drugs, weapons, bicycles, power tools and even a lawn mower, St. Thomas police said Wednesday.
Four men – aged 26, 44, 47 and 50 – face charges including possessing a firearm, possessing drugs and possessing property obtained by crime, police said.
“We anticipate this action will send a strong message to . . . those that want to continue victimizing our community through property crime,” Deputy Chief Marc Roskamp said in a release. “We will hold you accountable.”
Roskamp thanked the community for its help “in piecing together the requisite information” in the weeks-long investigation.
