The murdered man was found on May 1 last year. A private person alerted the police that a lifeless person was lying in a thicket next to a rest area along the E4.
Two of the three accused of kidnapping were arrested and detained a few days later. The third, who is therefore the one suspected of having carried out the murder, was arrested according to a European arrest warrant in November.
Kept locked up
The murdered man had injuries, including to the head and died of bleeding, but brain damage may also have contributed, the lawsuit states.
According to the indictment, the three men abducted and kept the man confined for several days in order to blackmail him. The crime began in Skärholmen in Stockholm and they then drove him around in the trunk of a car.
Bought a ticket to Australia
One of the defendants, a woman in her 30s, is charged with aggravated protection of a criminal. She allegedly bought a plane ticket to Australia for one of the accused.
