What’s going on in Fortnite? On March 20th Season 2 started in Chapter 3 of Fortnite. Since Season 2 you have been involved in a fight with the underground organization “IO”, in which you try to save all realities of the cosmos with the help of the seven. To do this, you defended the island and defeated the troops of the Imagined Order. Soon, however, a devastating live event awaits you.
We summarize here when the next season starts and what we know about it.

When does season 2 end in chapter 3?
That is known: In-game, Fortnite indicates that Season 2 in Chapter 3 runs until June 3rd. June 3rd is a Friday. Although new seasons are usually released on a Tuesday, the release of Chapter 3 also showed that nothing is safe from a new season over the weekend.
So you still have until around June 3rd to quickly level up your Battle Pass with our tips.
When does Season 3 start in Chapter 3?
It was like this so far: As a rule, a new season starts immediately after the end of an old season. So we assume that Season 2 will end on June 3rd and Season 3 of Chapter 3 will start on June 4th, 2022. That would then be a Saturday.
A timer, however, dates the start of the new live event to Saturday June 4th at around 10pm. Since you will certainly expect a downtime, the new Season 3 is not expected until Sunday.
New seasons in Fortnite usually start on a Tuesday. However, the first season in Chapter 3 started on a Sunday. It is quite possible that the next section will also start on a Saturday or a Sunday.
Assumes there will be some downtime between seasons when the game is unavailable. However, a downtime lasting days like with the black hole is not to be expected, since no new chapter, but “only” a new season starts within a chapter.
Season 3 Chapter 3 Battle Pass, Live Event and Launch
This is known so far: There is no official information yet about what content will be in the new season. But Dataminer already have an idea of it. In the next few lines we will talk about Season 3 leaks. If you want to be surprised, then go to one of the following articles:
What do we know about the new season? Not much is known so far. In the new Fortnite data, leakers have only discovered clues about the upcoming live event. The tall mech leader is slowly being built up by the seven for use in the final battle against the IO.
A new Battle Pass has also been released, but please take this with a grain of salt as it hasn’t been confirmed by Epic Games.
However, much of this is still unclear. In Jonesy’s quest, it becomes clear that the sisters, two followers of the Seven, have no entries in the IO. These were erased by the possible head of the Imagined Order “Genõ”.
It remains unclear whether all three characters are planning a conspiracy against you and you will be shot into space with the rest of the seven in the live event.
Finally, it would also be possible to disclose who or what Genõ is, since the Fortnite story is coming to an end and Epic has not yet revealed who pulls the strings.
Not much is known about the new map either, many parts of the Chapter 3 map were affected by the fight against the IO. A complete renovation of the map for Season 3 Chapter 3 would be conceivable.
