Fortnite players raise 70M for Ukraine

Fortnite players of Epic Games came together and collected $ 70 million in aid money for Ukraine in a week.

The famous battle royale game Fortnite, developed by Epic Games and People Can Fly, is signing an important aid campaign for Ukraine. Fortnite players they use V-Bucks to buy things like clothing, pickaxes, skins, emotes, and battle tickets. After Epic Games announced that “all of the revenue from V-Bucks will be donated to Ukraine”, a $70 million V-Buck sale took place.

Fortnite players love micropayments

The developer had promised to donate all proceeds from Fortnite in the first two weeks of this season to Ukraine. On top of that, the players did not stay idle and threw them in their pockets to help them with micro payments that would not be too difficult. Maybe we should not say Micro. There were so many purchases made by Fortnite players that this figure reached millions of dollars. These figures include all revenue from PC via the Epic Store and Xbox, and from PlayStation Store and Switch. (PlayStation Store and Nintendo take a 30% cut from sales.)

After reaching the 70 million figure, Epic Games said in a statement, “Together we have raised $70 million in humanitarian funding for Ukraine. Congratulations to everyone and Xbox, and thank you for joining this effort!” said.

The player’s fund for civilians in Ukraine, both displaced and in the middle of the war, is commendable.
