You can now get your hands on Tesla’s Cybertruck in Fortnite. But even the developers of Fortnite are not all behind the collaboration.
What car is that? The Cybertruck is a car made by Tesla and owned by CEO Elon Musk. The car is now available for free in Fortnite for anyone who completes a series of quests by August 7th.
Just like the company’s CEO, the car is not without controversy. There are also plenty of people in Fortnite who are happy to do without the vehicle. One of them is even a developer of Fortnite.

A developer thinks the truck is silly
Which developer is this? The developer’s name is Kyle Wynn and, according to his description on X.com, he is the producer of Fortnite Festival. He apparently doesn’t like the Cybertruck or the CEO of Tesla, the company that makes it.
On X.com he makes it clear what he thinks of the cooperation: “Reminder 1. Voting with your wallet works and social media sentiment is a tangible factor 2. Companies are made up of many different people with their own unique opinions 3. The truck looks damn silly and the CEO of the company is a piece of shit.”
As Eurogamer.net reports, a second developer also expressed negative views on the collaboration. He apparently wrote: “Reminder: My opinion is mine and mine alone” and continued: “Destroy on sight [Mittelfinger-Emoji]“. In the meantime, his account seems to have been set to private.
How is the truck received by fans? Even among Fortnite fans, there are many players who personally attack or dislike the truck, Tesla or Elon Musk. On X.com, user @KeanuOrange shares a picture of the car and writes: “it looks like the car is still loading into the game.”
@deaconts is brief on X.com: “This car is ugly” But there are also players who are looking forward to the car. One of them is @MinnerAlgo on X.com, who writes: “I need this in my life”.
@o0hypn0tized0o is also looking forward to the car. He says on X.com: “My son will love this! I’m going to buy one too! 🔥🔥🔥”
The car is part of the Summer Roadtrip event that is currently taking place in Fortnite.
