Fortnite discover Impact the end of season 2 event

Fortnite is preparing for a major transition with the arrival of the end of Chapter 3 Season 2. As usual, this end of the season will be marked by an in-game event: Impact.

[Mis à jour le 31 mai 2022 à 12h17] Quickly becoming a pillar of pop culture since its release in 2017, Fortnite continues to wreak havoc on players around the world, and especially among the youngest. The famous Battle-Royale has even been able to attract new players with the release of its construction-free mode. In short, the creation of Epic Games is still moving full throttle on the road to success, and is celebrating the end of season 2 of its chapter 3 very soon. A transition which, as always, will be marked by an in-game event, which will shake the multi-verse: Impact.

First and most important information Impact will take place on June 4 at 10 p.m. (French time). It will be necessary to connect 30 minutes before the fateful hour to have time to equip oneself accordingly. Because a lot of action awaits you in Impact, an action that we don’t know much about at the moment, Epic Games having chosen to keep players in suspense. And that’s good ! It’s good to keep a little surprise every once in a while. We only know that the game mode will be playable in groups of four, and that all players who connect to the game from 2 p.m. (French time) will be able to enjoy lounge music and an exclusive loading screen.

Of course, you still have things to do before the end of the season. You must complete the quests before June 4th: c Ranger quests, unlock the omni sword variants with the omnichips, and use your battle stars to unlock rewards in the season pass. If you don’t spend your Battle Stars, they will automatically be spent at the end of the season, which won’t be the case with Omnichips. Also, spend your ingots without counting since they will no longer be useful to you in season 3. Epic Games offers you a week of sales already underway, so take advantage of it!

This is the news of this end of September. The standoff between Epic Games and Apple resulted in the drastic decision not to reopen Epic’s developer account on the Apple Store. In a discussion by means of press releases published openly by Tim Sweeney, the founder of Epic Games, Apple firmly refused the request of the Fortnite developers. To sum up the case, Epic and Apple are in conflict over the Apple Store’s in-game payment policy which involves high commissions for the big apple company.

Recently, American justice had ruled in favor of the electronics giant, forcing Epic to pay it $ 6 million, and to respect the terms of the contract. A decision that Epic appealed. In a letter, Tim Sweeney then requested the reopening of Epic’s developer account on the Apple Store, saying “Epic will comply with Apple’s guidelines” as long as they “allow external links to other payment platforms”. In short, a status quo, to which Apple responded by blacklisting Epic’s developer account on the Apple Store and this “until the verdict of the court of justice is not final and without appeal”.

The sad news is that this decision makes it impossible for Epic to continue the development of Fortnite on IOS and Mac. Players who are fans of the apple brand will have to wait a few more years before being able to enjoy the Battle Royale, and according to Tim Sweeney this situation could last up to five years. The letters in detail (and in English):

Epic Games offers you to quickly but surely secure your account against hacks. And to better convince its players, the American studio offers rewards to be found in game. Concretely, two-factor authentication, also called A2F, asks the player for a second verification after the classic connection. After entering his password, the player will be asked to confirm his identity through a dedicated application (Google Authenticator for example) or by email.

The A2F is required in the event of a gift offered to one of its contacts, or for certain specific tournaments. In order to activate it, you have to go to the Account settingsthen in the section password and security. You then have the choice between activating thetwo-factor authentication by e-mail or by the authenticator. In order to motivate players to make their account more secure, Epic Games offers rewards accordingly. For Battle Royale mode players you will get the emote boogie down. For the “Save the World” mode, 50 arsenal slots will be given, and 10 backpack. Finally, a Legendary Edition Troll Loot Llama is up for grabs.
