Seattle had a two-goal advantage when Forsling cut it to 2–1 in the second period. Just over ten seconds later, teammate Matthew Tkachuk had equalized and in the third period, Nick Cousins scored the decisive goal.
It was Forsling’s seventh game and first point of the season.
Toronto Swede William Nylander started by scoring the game’s first goal against Nashville.
However, Nashville held back after Nylander’s opening goal, thanks in large part to Filip Forsberg, who was credited with two assists.
The meeting ended 3–2 to Nashville and Forsberg was named one of the match’s three stars.
