The famous designer has developed some of the most successful Formula 1 cars ever, and in recent years has played a key role in the dominance of the Red Bull team.
At the beginning of May, the 65-year-old left Red Bull after 18 years with the team, and now he seems to have found a new home in Formula 1.

The designer goes to a new Formula 1 stable
An employee of Aston Martin has revealed to BBC Sports that Newey intends to join the team in March next year.
This after the designer negotiated to end his contract with Red Bull early, following a controversy surrounding the stable manager Christian Horner.

The news that Newey is moving to Aston Martin will reportedly become official at a press conference on Tuesday next week.
However, neither Aston Martin’s spokesperson nor Adrian Newey’s manager Eddie Jordan were willing to confirm the information after questions from BBC Sport.

400 million a year in salary
The whistleblower from Aston Martin also commented on the compensation that has been agreed with Newey.
It is said to be a five-year contract with a compensation of up to £30 million a year, with potential bonuses and add-ons included.
This corresponds to an annual salary of over SEK 400 million.

An important step for Aston Martin
If the information that Aston Martin has secured Adrian Newey is correct, it is another important piece of the puzzle towards the team’s main owner Lawrence Stroll’s goal of fighting for the world championship in Formula 1.
It has already invested in a new state-of-the-art factory, hired a number of distinguished engineers and secured Honda as engine manufacturer for the 2026 season.

Adrian Newey is one of the most meritorious constructors ever in Formula 1.
Cars he has designed with the Williams, McLaren and Red Bull stables have won 12 drivers’ world titles as well as 13 constructors’ titles.
Above all, he has a reputation for finding advantages over other teams in major rule changes, and just such is in the works ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
