Former teammate reveals sick figure during Foppa’s total dominance – barely believed what he saw

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Peter Forsberg really did what he wanted on the ice.
Even when he was injured.
Now his former teammate highlights a sick detail about Foppa.

Peter Forsberg was in his best moments one of the world’s absolute best players. Many even say that when he was at his best – then few players in NHL history have dominated in a similar way.

“Could miss my prey”

But Foppa was also haunted by his injuries, and that was also what finally made him end his career prematurely. He tried to play through the pain, especially in his feet, but it hampered him for many years in the NHL. And despite that, Foppa managed to perform enormous deeds in the world’s best hockey league.

In the 2002/2003 season, for example, he scored an insane 106 points in 75 games played. But then came the injuries, and the following year there were only 39 games played. Result for an injured Foppa: 55 points.

John-Michael Liles was a rookie in Colorado that year – and could hardly believe his eyes.

– There were times when I sat on the bench, and Peter Forsberg did something with the puck, and someone came and changed with me. But I was so full of admiration for what he did that I could miss my changes, he says in the podcast That’s Hockey Talks.

Sick figure

Liles also believes that Peter Forsberg trained… virtually nothing.

– I think Peter trained maybe six times during my first year. The talent he had – but also the injuries – he almost went on one leg. And still he scored so many points, he says.

Even today, he is full of admiration for what Foppa did.

– It was completely ridiculous, and he only trained a handful of times throughout the season.
