In the reconstruction film, the then SD politician shows how he shot his friend.

He measured a blow with the muzzle of the pistol aimed at the back of the friend’s head when a shot went off.

– Cursed too, fucking man, says the accused about his thoughts at the incident.

There are two different versions of how it went when the then SD politician from Nyköping fired the deadly shot.

Either it was intentional and deliberate action, as the prosecutor claims. Or it was an accident, a dangerous shot, which the accused claims.

Among the evidence is a reconstruction film. The accused man claims that his friend had found his illegal and hidden pistol for decades.

The friend would have demonstratively laid the weapon on the coffee table and questioned what it would be used for. The accused then became angry, took the gun, went behind the armchair where the friend was sitting. Then he measured a blow in the air with the barrel aimed at the friend’s backside.

Acknowledge the circumstances

The accused man admits that he shot and then dismembered the body, but believes that the fatal shot should be considered a cause of another’s death, not murder.

Which of the headings the district court arrives at will be decisive for the sentence – which can be up to life imprisonment.

The latest episode of the podcast Aftonbladet Krim highlights the case of the suspected mass murderer.
