What else happened? As of this week, you can unlock the new allied race of the Earthen and the associated heritage armor in WoW: The War Within. Some players use an actually underwhelming racial bonus to level up the Earthen. Alternatively, you can simply send your parents on a gold and XP hunt – like this WoW player.

  • Elections for the 19th Council of Stellar management will take place in EVE Online in September and October. You can find more information on eveonline.com.
  • Since September 4, 2024, you can register for the PvP tournament “Silver City Cup” in Tarisland – you can find all the information on tarisglobal.com.
  • Update 2.8.5, “The Wall of Sorrow,” has been released for Aion Classic. You can find all information about the new features on gameforge.com.
  • The developers of Shroud of the Avatar are adding two more optional subscription levels to the existing ones, for 18 and 27 US dollars per month (via shroudoftheavatar.com). The reason: The current revenue of the free2play MMORPG is not sufficient to continue the development of the game in the medium term.
  • Old School RuneScape was able to enjoy strong player numbers this week. 160,352 fans were online in the MMORPG oldie at any one time (via Reddit). Various websites report that this is a record. Ten months ago, however, the game already had 185,123 simultaneously active characters (via Reddit).
  • A new update for Fractured Online was released on September 3, 2024, which optimizes the engine and brings quality-of-life improvements. You can also play the MMORPG for free until September 9, 2024 (via fracturedmmo.com).
  • On September 10, 2024, the MMORPG oldie Tibia will stop supporting old Windows operating systems and adjust the minimum and recommended system requirements (via tibia.com).
  • MY.GAMES will no longer act as publisher for Skyforge. Innova will take on this role in the future. As part of the change, all players of the MMORPG will have to go through an account transfer. You can find all information about this on sf.my.games.
  • Deepest World, a new MMORPG that lets you write character AI via JavaScript, launched on Steam on September 2, 2024. However, the eleven reviews so far are not exactly enthusiastic.
