Jan Dirk van der Zee, director of women’s football and amateur football at the KNVB, is proud that he has roped in the former international for the position of adviser on women’s football. “In her period as an international, we have come to know Sari not only as an excellent keeper and leader on the field, but also as a driven professional off the field,” says Van der Zee. “With her achievements and her personality, she has helped women’s football further. At a young age, she not only had an eye for herself, but also for others. From the experience she brings with her, she knows what it takes to take the next step. We are therefore convinced that she will be of added value to the KNVB.”
