Former Foxtrot top shot dead in Iraq

“Several sources in the criminal environment” confirm for SVT that a man, who was previously a high-ranking member of the criminal network Foxtrot, was shot dead in Iraq.

Videos and pictures have been spread on social media and in Iraqi media a man, who is supposed to represent the former gang leader, is seen murdered in a car in Baghdad.

Started rival gangs

The man previously belonged to the top layer of the criminal network – but later started his own gang that distanced itself from the leader Rawa Majid, writes SVT.

After the fatal shooting, the man’s rivals mocked the man in a live broadcast on social media.

A suspected perpetrator has been arrested, writes SVT and refers to Iraqi media.

UD: “No knowledge”

TV4 Nyheterna has been in contact with the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which cannot confirm the information.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently not aware of a case similar to the one you describe,” they write in a message.
