The filming of the forgotten action hit was severely limited due to an infamous sci-fi flop. Today the film with Wesley Snipes (Blade) and Ryan Phillippe (Eiskalte Engel) is on TV. Chaos revolves around Detective Conners (Statham), who was actually fired and is unexpectedly brought back to work. Bank robber Lorenz (Snipes) only wants to negotiate with him. But the criminals escape and Conners tries to solve the case with his inexperienced colleague Dekker (Phillippe).

The film’s production was plagued by a massive problem in the early 2000s. The production company Franchise Pictures had to vacate its place after the massive flop of the sci-fi film Battlefield Earth struggled with allegations of fraud (via IMDb). Their place was taken by the parent company Mobius International, which apparently wanted to reduce the costs of the shoot to a minimum. Chaos finally came onto the German market as a DVD in 2006.
