There have never been as many blockbuster series as 2022. Especially in fantasy the streaming services are flexing their muscles. While Amazon talks about the Rings of Power, HBO deals with the history of House Targaryen. Now it’s Disney+’s turn with its big fantasy series.
Willow Season 1 starts tomorrow. It is the series sequel to the 1988 film of the same name. It was directed by Ron Howard and is based on an idea by Star Wars creator George Lucas. For a long time, the idea of a screen successor was in the air. Now comes the series.

The Willow series is about the search for
Airk (Dempsey Bryk), Kit’s twin brother who was kidnapped by sinister figures. Airk and Kit are the children of Sorsha (Joanne Whalley), who has already played a crucial role in the film.
