Second report in our series on forests: how to get out of monoculture? This is a question that arises especially after the repeated heat waves and drought in France, to adapt to the consequences of climate change and make ecosystems more resilient. During the fires this summer, we pointed the finger at the monoculture which weakens the soil. Producing as much wood as possible, to the detriment of soils and biodiversity, is not without consequences, but some are trying to do otherwise. Illustration in the Morvan, east of France.
