Samsom finds it extra annoying that he is being put away as an animal abuser. “If you google my name, Joost Samsom, you will see: we do everything we can to improve the quality of life in the countryside. I go further than any farmer.” As a farmer, he is committed to nature. “We have an organic dairy farm with 110 cows. We do everything you can think of that serves nature. Environment, animal welfare, climate: everything you can do in terms of social challenge, we like that. We have ten litters of meadow birds more than last year: a total of 61 meadow birds, thanks in part to a volunteer who helps. So we are doing exactly the opposite of what the forester claims.”
