The alarm came in on Thursday afternoon. A fire had then broken out on a clearing in the terrain between Olofström and Svängsta.
– The fire area is approximately 50 by 200 meters in size, and there is continued spread in the terrain, says the management operator of the rescue service.
The rescue service is on site with several forces from both Olofström and Karlshamn.
There are no threatened buildings near the fire area, according to the rescue service.
