About 40 hectares of forest are burning in an area northeast of Hamra. The alarm came in on Wednesday night, and according to the rescue service, helicopters have also been called in to try to get control of the fire.
– We will probably stay all night, says Erik Cardell, alarm officer at RiS.
Around ten forces from several locations are participating in the extinguishing work, and two helicopters are involved in water bombing.
– There is no risk of spreading to nearby buildings, but it is a forest area that has started to burn, says Erik Cardell.
It is still unclear according to him why the fire started.
