Wildfires are being fought at 78 points in Canada’s Alberta province. In Fox Lake, located in the Little Red River Cree Nation region, 4,400 hectares of area turned to ash, while the flames were intervened by land and air.

About 20 houses became unusable in the fire, and 3,700 people were evacuated from their homes. The forest fire in the southeast of the Drayton Valley region has burned 1,500 hectares so far. 7,200 people were evacuated.

It was reported that 19 of 78 active fires across the state were out of control. Alberta Wildfire manager Christie Tucker stated at a press conference that 348 forest fires have occurred since January 1, and more than 25 thousand hectares of land have been burned.
