The good news is that the 40th anniversary races are not being canceled or switched to a virtual model despite an increase in COVID-19 cases, race director Shauna Versloot said in a Facebook post.
“We are trying our best to have an in-person event,” Versloot said. “The fall is sounding like our best bet.”
The races, which include half-marathon, and five- and 10-km distances, were scheduled for April 24.
Participants have an amazing event to look forward to and eight months to train for it, Versloot said.
Registration opens in March and a new date will be announced then, she said.
The races benefit the Thames Valley Children’s Center that supports children with disabilities, developmental delays, and communication and autism spectrum disorders.
