The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms to SVT Nyheter that on Wednesday there will be a meeting between NATO, Sweden and Turkey at official level to discuss Sweden’s NATO membership.
On Sunday, President Erdogan’s new security adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic said in a television interview that Sweden is now closer to a Turkish NATO yes than it was a year ago.
However, he pointed out that there are still things left to discuss. Those issues are to be addressed during the trilateral meeting next week.
