The man died on December 20 and the next of kin have been notified. According to Euronews, which refers to local media, the man must have suffered from severe necrosis – but was denied care at 21 hospitals. The reason was the high operating costs, which the hospitals were worried the man would not be able to pay. After seven days, a hospital accepted the man and performed the operation. Despite a successful amputation, the man died of sepsis caused by pneumonia.
