In July last year, Otosan announced that it would invest 490 million euros to support the production of the new generation Courier series, of which it will produce fully electric versions together with Puma, at its Craiova factory.

With the investment, the capacity of the factory will increase from 250,000 vehicles to 272,000 vehicles per year. Otosan also conducted a major recruitment campaign to support production needs at the Craiova factory, creating 1,300 new jobs.

The fully electric and connected version of the Courier series, which Otosan designed together with Ford teams in Dunton and Cologne and took on all engineering and production responsibility, will be produced in the Craiova factory and will meet customers in 2024.
