Ford is cutting 3,800 jobs in Europe

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The reason is that Ford wants to restructure and make the organization in Europe more competitive. Competition among electric car manufacturers has intensified and the market is changing rapidly, the company states.

In Germany, 2,300 jobs in product development and administration will disappear, in Great Britain 1,300 and in the rest of Europe 200. The departures will be voluntary.

The austerity package in Germany is smaller than what the union IG Metall feared.

The company made a loss of US$2 billion last year. The plan to offer a fully electrified car fleet in Europe by 2035 stands firm, according to Ford.
