In this context, the global launch of the new all-electric commercial vehicle E-Transit Courier, developed by Ford Otosan, was held at the R&D Center in Istanbul. As with other models of the E-Transit product range, Ford E-Transit Courier, which was developed according to needs and expectations after customer research and negotiations, will also bring important technological support. The model, which comes with an electric motor producing 100 kW (136 PS) in its infrastructure, will have a maximum speed limit of 145 km / h. E-Transit Courier, which is aimed to charge at home in 5.7 hours with 11 kW AC current, is expected to be popular among customers who prefer home charging. The all-new body design of the E-Transit Courier offers greater load capacity in all dimensions. Thanks to the rear-wheel width increased to 1,220 mm, the compact van can transport two Euro pallets simultaneously for the first time. The total cargo volume of 2.9 m3 is 25% more than the previous model. In addition, the volume of the vehicle can be further increased by using the new load-through bulkhead feature that allows it to carry objects longer than 2,600mm, such as timber or pipes. The fully electric model has a maximum payload of 2 700 kg and a maximum towing weight of 750 kg. In addition to its design and engineering, the E-Transit Courier, which will be produced by Ford Otosan at its Craiova factory, will be offered for sale in gasoline and diesel versions in 2023 and in electric versions in 2024. It should be noted that a 1.0-liter EcoBoost producing 125 PS power on the gasoline side and a 1.5-liter 100 PS unit on the diesel side will be offered.
