Luleå player Markus Nurmi has received harsh criticism for his filming.
Now he is also forced to pay a fine for the seven against Växjö in the SHL finals.
Luleås Markus Nurmi Tried to deceive an expulsion by throwing himself handless on the ice in the SHL quarterfinals against Växjö.
An action for which he is now fined, announces the Swedish Ice Hockey Association’s disciplinary committee. The fine lands at SEK 5,000.

“The puck bounces around in Växjö’s defense zone and Nurmi goes to the puck when he is slowed down a bit by a Växjö player. Nurmi then chooses to release both skates from the ice and throw himself straight on the ice. This is Diving/Reinforcement,” they wrote in the report, according to SHL’s website.
Luleå won the fourth quarterfinals by 4-3 after an extension and can secure a semi -final place on Friday.
