Forced partner to sell sex – sentenced for pimping
A man forced his partner to sell sex to pay off alleged debts. Now he has been convicted of pimping and sentenced to probation and 120 hours of community service, reports Today’s Law.
The woman told the district court that the man got rid of his roommate and then ran out of money. Jokingly, the woman said she would sell herself. The man took the suggestion seriously and started posting ads online.
The man denied the crime and stated that he himself participated in the sex services.
He was also convicted of weapons offences, because he possessed a tear gas pistol without a permit.
The judgment was appealed to the Court of Appeal, which upheld the district court’s decision.
