The restoration focuses in particular on repairing the mechanism for the hand game, the clappers and the keyboard, the municipality of Utrecht has announced. The 50 bells of the carillon, 34 of which date from the seventeenth century, are still in excellent condition and therefore do not need to be restored. Bell foundry Eijsbouts from Asten carries out the restoration.
