Ever since 2013, Sundsgården Folkhögskola has celebrated Lucia in a slightly different way. Teachers and participants gather together to sing and slide into the icy sea at Örby meadows.
Record high amount collected
The initiative is done for charitable purposes. For each person who participates in the train, SEK 500 is donated. The record high number of 38 participants means that the sum this year landed at SEK 19,000.
– Huh?! I didn’t know we broke the record! says a surprised Moa Saxgarn, who attends the school.
The money goes to various charities.
