I think there is something beautiful and magical about fairy tales, and I grew up loving fairy tales. Princesses and unicorns helped me relax. But as you get older you realize, ‘Oh, I’m getting my period and that’s bad. Cars sometimes don’t start. Wait a minute: not everything is perfect.’ I think that’s what the film is about [Damsel] truly embodied. You feel the fairytale, but then things go wrong.

For Millie Bobby Brown, Netflix’s Damsel symbolizes the moment in life when you reach your lowest point and realize that not everything is always peace, joy and pancakes. She explains: “I love films that make me think and myself really question my values, morals and ideas let.” Or their fairytale love.
