Since the release of Trailer #2 of Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, many analysts and theorists have been dissecting all the clues left by Marvel Studios. One of the movie’s most obvious possibilities is the introduction of the X-Men into the MCU through a Professor Xavier. We remember seeing Stephen Strange indeed enter a strange center strongly resembling the HQ of the Illuminati. In the main room, our wizard stands in front of 6 people sitting on large chairs and one of them comes forward and gives him the following line: “We should tell him the truth”. For many, there is no doubt that it is Professor Xavier, in the guise of Patrick Stewart. We easily recognize the actor from behind, it is his voice that we also hear, but for the moment, neither Marvel nor the actor seem to want to confirm the assertions of the fans.

During an interview with journalist Kevin McCarthy for the Star Trek Picard series on Paramount+, Patrick Stewart said “that we will have to wait to know the truth”, still implying that it’s not impossible to see him take on the role of Professor X again after hanging up on Logan and promising never to return. But as we know, the actor was approached by Kevin Feige, the big boss of Marvel Studios, in 2020, a man who knows how to be very persuasive. More recently, it is with the site ComicBook.com,= that Patrick Stewart spoke to, and the latter relied on an excuse that no one saw coming, claiming that for 60 years, many people have imitated his voice. A way like any other to cover the tracks and which recalls the lies of Andrew Garfield for Spider-Man No Way Home. Still, the latter does not lack ideas to deny his presence in the film, a classic when you are an actor in the MCU.
