Controversy surrounding Epic and Steam overshadowed the release of the shooter
Wasn’t there a controversy? Yes, the game was only released on Epic and not on Steam. This caused loud protests among players, who called for a boycott of Metro: Exodus until the game was released on Steam. The developer then threatened that they would no longer develop any games in the series for the PC. But then the publisher Deep Silver intervened.
