“For once I’m going to…”

Modo lost the second final match against Djurgården.
Before the eyes of club icon Peter Forsberg who was disappointed.
– Of course it’s tough, says the legend in an interview on Twitter.

So many millions are at stake in the Allsvenskan final between Modo and Djurgården. Two classic teams in Swedish hockey that are doing everything to reach the fine room and the SHL again.

Modo’s loss

Modo won the first round and on Tuesday evening the teams squared off in the second game. Once again the even final series went to extra time but this time it was the guests Djurgården who managed to win and thanks to Daniel Brodin’s 3-2 goal it is now tied at 1-1 in matches.

In place in a packed Hägglund’s arena was the club icon Peter Forsberg and he gives his honest view after the loss.
– Obviously sad to lose. It’s two even teams so it can go either way. Now Djurgården got over its home advantage. A bit of bad luck, but it has been two very even matches, says “Foppa” in an interview with Sportbladets Tomas Rose on Twitter, see it below.
– It’s just a matter of recharging the batteries for the next match. Even if Djurgården won this match, it is definitely not over.

Forsberg’s words

The big talking point during the final series between Modo and Djurgården has so far been about the refereeing efforts. And Forsberg, who was often annoyed with the referees during his playing career, can only offer a laugh when he is asked a question about the referees.
– For once, I will stay away from the referee discussion. It goes back and forth. Now Djurgården decided in a power play, so it goes back and forth, he admits in the interview, which you can see below.

It is clear that Foppa is disappointed after the loss and the missed opportunity to take a strong hold on the direct spot in the SHL. It had been so incredibly long-awaited for Modo with a promotion, as it has been seven years since they were allowed to leave the top league.
– Of course it’s tough. We took it all the way to the “sudden” and fought our way back. It bounces back and forth, we’ll see who wins. It is still very open, he tells the journalist.
