HJK will face either the champion of Georgia or Montenegro in the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League. The possible opponents of KuPS and Ilves also survived.
Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi continues its Euro heaven in the qualification of the third round of the Conference League and will face the winner of the match Dinamo Batumi-FK Decic. Dinamo Batumi comes from Georgia and Decic from Tuz, Montenegro. Both clubs are the reigning champions of their country.
The teams meet twice in August, and HJK gets to start the pair of matches on their home field.
HJK was able to continue directly to the third round of the Conference League qualifiers after falling out of the Champions League qualifiers.
If HJK wants to advance to the group stage of the Conference League, it must win both the third qualifying round and the playoff round.
Among the Finnish clubs, Ilves and KuPS also found out their opponents for the possible third round in Monday’s draw. llves would play the third round against Sweden’s Djurgården or Luxembourg’s FC Progres Niederkorn, and KuPS against the Scottish team Kilmarnock or Belgium’s Cercle Brugge.
In the second round, Ilves must beat Austria Wien and KuPS Tromsö in Norway.
