Most people know a forester, but what exactly does an energy forester do? “A forester as we know it is really someone who watches over the existing forest and nature reserves. The energy forester mainly looks at solar fields and wind farms, how you can create more nature there,” explains energy forester at the Utrechtse Heuvelrug Harrie Swarte. “I don’t so much look at the solar fields, but what happens next to them.”
