With Tanz der Teufel, the later Spider-Man director Sam Raimi created crazy cult horror that was long banned in Germany. In 2013, Evil Dead was a new edition that hardly has to hide from the original in terms of grim brutality and bloody escalation.
The reboot by Fede Alvarez gets so bloody in the finale at the latest that the horror cracker still has the Record for highest artificial blood consumption of all time holds.
Horror shocker Evil Dead consumes almost 200,000 liters of artificial blood
As Bloody Disgusting reported, the director ordered a whole truck full of fake blood for his Evil Dead film. A total of almost 190,000 liters came together for the excessive scene in the finale of the new horror edition alone, in which it blood rains from the sky for minutes. In addition, there is the showdown with protagonist Mia (Jane Levy), who throws herself into the decisive fight against the demons with a chainsaw.
Another part of the horror series was released this year with Evil Dead Rise. However, the new film cannot keep up with its predecessor. According to Variety, “only” almost 6,500 liters of artificial blood were used for Evil Dead Rise.
Here, a whole crowd was used for an elevator scene, with which director Lee Cronin pays tribute to the famous role model from Stanley Kubrick’s Stephen King adaptation The Shining.
