“It’s a piece of youth sentiment or nostalgia,” adds Vlaardingerbroek. “It’s a bit like taking an old movie, that’s how you sometimes take an old game for the storyline. And those are just fun. With those very large, graphic games you often hear that it is mainly about how it looks and a lot less about the story. If you go back to the ‘8-bit time’ you had to tell your story with a few pixels, and there is also a certain power in that.”
