For 10 euros you can now optimally prepare for Monster Hunter Wilds on Steam

When Monster Hunter Wilds appears on February 28, 2025, the race for personal game of the year will already have been over for some monster hunters. If you want to optimally prepare for Capcom’s adventure, you can now do so particularly cheaply on Steam.

Why should you prepare? For a long time, the games in the Monster Hunter series were considered inaccessible and complex. Difficult battles against huge monsters, grind and hard work were just part of it. Likewise, the technology is quite poor, as many of the parts were released on rather weak platforms.

This is still partly true today, but those responsible at Capcom managed to open the franchise to a significantly larger audience in January 2018. Monster Hunter: World was the first part of the series for the most powerful consoles at the time (followed by the PC version in August 2018).

At the same time, the motivating hunt for the eponymous monsters was much more beginner-friendly, accessible and modern. Combined with the well-known qualities of the games, it was so much fun that our editor-in-chief Leya Jankowski wrote in the test: “Monster Hunter World is the game that Monster Hunter should always have been”.

What does this have to do with Monster Hunter Wilds? While Monster Hunter Rise, released in March 2021, was more reminiscent of the previous parts of the series, Monster Hunter Wilds, coming on February 28, 2025, will be the quasi-successor to World, will be released again for PlayStation, Xbox and PC and will be like Play an improved version of the first next-gen adventure.

In other words: If you have fun with World, you should make time for wilds in the coming year. And if you haven’t played the predecessor yet, you can now catch up on it inexpensively on Steam – where, after 284,102 reviews, it is rated “Very Positive” with 88 percent positive ratings.

You can secure the skin game for 9.89 euros until December 4th, 2024. The main game plus the Iceborne expansion costs 15.99 euros. A great deal for the quality and scope of World. And the signs are already good that the successor will also be great: Monster Hunter Wilds is a hot candidate for Game of the Year 2025 – conclusion after the beta
