– A really nice start to this CL adventure, says Vilde Hasund in SVT’s broadcast.
Hammarby’s Norwegians do it again. When the team advanced to the Champions League group stage, it was Cathika Tandberg who decided.
In the first match in the group stage, Tandberg started on the bench due to illness. Instead, another Norwegian, Vilde Hasund, stepped forward.
27-year-old Hasund made it 1-0 at the beginning of the first half shortly after she hit the crossbar.
Just like when she hit the crossbar it was after Ellen Wangerheim’s performance, the duo had a fun match.
In a match that Hammarby dominated, both Wangerheim and Hasund had more opportunities to extend the lead, but St Pölten’s goalkeeper Carina Schlüter stood in the way.
In the second half, Cathinka Tandberg was replaced. In the 88th minute she made it 2-0 which was the nail in the coffin. Tandberg also had additional chances in extra time and could have scored more goals.
The group also includes Manchester City and Barcelona, who meet later this evening.
