While Häcken has stormed forward in the Champions League, Elin Rubensson has had to follow the team from the sidelines. A thigh injury has meant that the national team midfielder has not played a game since October, but tonight was the time.
Rubensson was substituted in the 69th minute and was able to help the team secure both victory and advancement to the quarter-finals.
– Of course it’s a bit rusty, but it’s incredibly nice to be back on the grass and play a little, says Rubensson.
