Football: Still heavy for Norrköping – suffered a fourth straight loss

The talk of the first half at halftime was the penalty situation where referee Joakim Östling chose to acquit after the home team’s Christoffer Nyman fell in a duel with Jacob Une Larsson.

Just a couple of minutes after the penalty situation, Deniz Hümmet headed in the visitors’ lead goal from close range, which was the result going into the break.

– I feel that I am passing by. I get a push, I think it’s punishment, Nyman said in the Max broadcast during the break.

Double dream goals

A lead goal via a penalty kick would have been useful for the Östgöta. For over 90 minutes, as this match unfolded, Djurgården was clearly the better team.

In eight minutes, three goals fell, two of which stuck out. See them in the player above.

Tobias Gulliksen made it 2-0 after the hour had been played. Norrköping reduced three minutes later, Isak Sigurgeirsson the scorer when his intended cross found its way into the goal at the far post.

“I screwed up a bit”

Besard Sabovic then deliciously curled in a free kick to make it 3-1. There were no more goals, but the Stockholmers were able to quite comfortably pack three points on the bus home.

With the victory, Djurgården moves up to second place past Mjällby. Norrköping is firmly at the bottom, with only Västerås behind it.

– I’ve screwed up a bit that I have a good strike, so in the end I had to take a free kick, Sabovic said in Max’s broadcast afterwards.
