Football: Sebastian Nanasi named player of the year – here are all the award winners from the Allsvenskan’s big prize

The candidates for the various awards in the annual gala are selected by a jury consisting of the captains and coaches of the 16 teams and 32 journalists.

The biggest award, “Player of the Year”, went to Sebastian Nanasi.

– What can I say? I’m really proud to receive this too, says Sebastian Nanasi in Max’s broadcast.

He accounted for six goals and ten appearances in the Allsvenskan. The 22-year-old belonged to Malmö FF until August, when he left for French side Strasbourg.

Nanasi was also named “midfielder of the year” earlier in the evening.

Awarded the “Player of the Century” award

This year Allsvenskan celebrates 100 years and therefore the award for “player of the century” was also awarded. It went to Gunnar Nordahl.

– I’m about to start crying, I’m half-Italian. Had dad been here today, he would have been happy, says son Thomas, who was there to receive the award.
