Football: Scenes of chaos when AIK won the derby against Djurgården

The first half of the derby was about one thing – fighting.

The duels were tough and when Dino Besirovic was replaced injured, he showed the AIK badge on the shirt of the Djurgårdsklacken, something that annoyed the Djurgårds players and a riot broke out.

Later in the match, Oskar Fallenius was hacked in AIK’s penalty area, but the referee acquitted. Minutes later, substitute Bersant Celina scored the 1–0 goal for AIK. His celebration stirred emotions and managers and players from both teams stood in a huge huddle, heckling and poking at each other.

– I celebrated with my family, there is nothing provocative about it, says Celina in Max.

Bergstrand upset after red card

It ended with two red cards, to AIK’s assistant Henok Goitom and to Djurgården’s coach Kim Bergstrand.

– How the hell can you give me a red?, Bergstrand can be heard shouting to the referee in the broadcast.

Celina’s family was then relocated a bit away from Djurgården’s bench according to Max.

In the second half, Rui Modesto made it 2–0 after the ball steamed down in front of him when AIK had a long throw.

In the final minutes, several pieces of fireworks went off from the Djurgårdsklacken and the match was temporarily interrupted. It was then resumed and AIK won 2–0.
