Football: Rosengård won and improved the record to 18 straight victories: “Don’t want to jinx anything”

Each new victory brings a new record and you get closer to the perfect season of only victories.

– It’s not something we talk about and we don’t want to jinx anything. If we start talking about it too much, it can become difficult to focus. But we can’t say that we don’t think about it, it’s in the back of our minds, but we know what we have to do and work hard in every game, otherwise it won’t work, says one of the goal scorers Olivia Holdt to SVT Sport.

In the 18th minute, Olivia Schough played the ball in from the left and Mai Kadowaki pounced at the far post to make it 1-0.

Rosengård did not have a good first half but got some breathing room when Olivia Holdt made it 2-0 just before the break. She finished with a direct shot in the middle after Ria Öhling played the ball in from the right wing.

Ten minutes from the end, the match was definitely punctuated when Emilia Larsson’s cross-like shot went into the goal for 3-0 in a high arc over BP’s goalkeeper Anna Koivunen.

No team has won every game in the series

No team has gone through the women’s league with ideal victories. The closest has been Umeå, who won 21 of the then 22 games two years in a row. In 2006, they won 21 games in a row, after drawing 2-2 against MFF in the first round. In this year’s series, 26 matches are played.

The longest winning streak in the women’s league is Umeå, who according to the Sydsvenskan won 24 straight games between April 2005 and May 2006.

The longest streak without a loss has Umeå, who played 57 games in a row between 2005 and 2007.
