Football: Malmö FF lost the victory after a penalty goal by Häcken in the 93rd minute

With a goal each, Sebastian Nanasi and Isaac Kiese Thelin looked set to give the reigning champions a victory at Hisingen in Gothenburg.

Nanasi opened the scoring already in the eighth minute when he carefully stayed in front and from close range hit a rebound after Lasse Berg Johnsen’s shot hit the crossbar.

With ten minutes left in the first half, Häcken had a really sharp double chance to equalize.

However, Johan Dahlin first managed to ward off Amor Layouni’s header from close range himself and with the help of Pontus Jansson, Valgeir Fridriksson’s shot attempt was then stopped from going into the goal.

Aim directly into others

Those who during the break decided to visit the kiosk then barely had time to sit down before another Malmö goal was scored at the Bravida Arena.

In a transition, Erik Botheim found Isaac Kiese Thelin, who with a controlled finish put the ball into the back of the chair behind Andreas Linde in the Häcken goal.

With a quarter of an hour left to play, Julius Lindberg created a real nerve in the match when he pushed in a 1-2 reduction played by Romeo Amane.

Substitute Martin Olsson then became a major unlucky man for Malmö when he stopped a Häcken header, after which the home team received a penalty when the clock passed 90 minutes.

Team captain Simon Gustafson stepped forward and beat Dahlin in the MFF goal with a well-taken penalty and the match ended 2-2.

A result that means that second in the table Djurgården is now only three points behind Malmö in the table.
