Denis Law is Manchester United’s third all-time top scorer.
Former Manchester United and Scotland star striker Denis Law has died at the age of 84, his family announced on Friday.
– It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that our father Denis Law has unfortunately passed away. “He fought a hard battle, but he is finally at peace,” Law’s family said in a statement.
Law is third in Manchester United’s all-time goalscoring list, having scored 237 goals in 404 games. There are only ahead of him Wayne Rooney and Bobby Charlton.
Law played 55 matches for the Scottish men’s national team. With 30 goals, he is joint top of the all-time scoring list for the Scottish men’s national team Kenny Dalglish with.
Law celebrated the English championship with Manchester United in 1965 and 1967. In 1968, he won the European Cup, the precursor to the Champions League, although he did not play in the final against Benfica due to injury.
