There has been weather chaos in Dortmund since the start of the EC.
But when Denmark was pitted against home team Germany, it got so bad that the match was temporarily stopped and the players left the field.

The rain poured into the arena, while there was both thunder and lightning. This after a tornado warning was announced before the match.
– The Danish commentators were upset that they didn’t break the match earlier, says Olof Lundh, TV4’s reporter on the spot, in the broadcast.
After just over 20 minutes, the match resumed.
